Property purchase when divorce is at large

I am 48 years old. My wife has lodged 498A against me and I am presently not staying with her. I plan to file divorce against her. At present I am going to purchase a flat worth Rs 20 lacs. My wife is staying in rented flat with two children. I am paying the rent. Now the question is Can I buy the flat in my name? Can she claim 50% of flat after divorce, specially when new Marriage Act is on anvil

dont purchase any property when divorce case is on . marriage amendment bill has not yet been passed by Lok sabha

The new law related to marriage & divorce has not passed yet by Parliament, it will be better wait some time.

Can this flat be purchased in name of mother. Can mother straightaway create a partial will only for this flat in my name. I have other two brothers and one sister. There are other assets in mother's name which will not be mentionaed in this partial will

The Marriage Law Amendment bill 2013 is providing for 50% right to residential property of her husband acquired after marriage is still pending in parliament and has not yet become law.Buy it in your mother's name as suggested by one of our learned friends.
