The car was submerged in water, in the rains in the basement floor.
Obtained a tow agency to take the car to the garage for repair.
Insurance claim is 3.00lakhs
Insurance co now says is is conseqential damage and can pay on 15% of the claim.
Car is still in the garage after repairs.
Pls explain our stand as owners

your claim is genuine then send a legal notice to the insurance company then file a consumer complaint before the district forum in your jurisdiction

General story with the insurance companies while paying the claims. send legal notice and file consumer complaint, If lok adalat (public utility services) is working in your distt, file case in that.

Read your terms and conditions on insurance document thoroughly then move for action by proper logics please!

If the insurance is covered for damages against such natural calamities too, you may issue a notice to the Insurance company demanding the compensation as envisaged, if there is no or no proper reply, you may approach the jurisdictional consumer forum for relief and remedy.

Ahmed sait, whether there is full coverage for damages, then issue Notice to insurance company with the assistance of insurance lawyer, if company does not respond to you with in 2 weeks you can move case under breach of contract of indian cntract Act 1782 as amended and valid today!
but ensure you say in your notice that you would move under indian contract Act if you do not get response within 2 weeks from the date of receipt of Notice, as insurance falls under contracts Act all over world!
