Make rectification deed
Adv Akhtar Ali Sheikh (Expert) 15 June 2015
No need you may keep a gazette copy ready and whenever any reference to your old name comes you may use the name change gazette and the same can be used in govt records share certificate etc but name in agreement cannot be changed.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 15 June 2015
Better do not change.

However, getting a rectification deed executed and registered is way.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 15 June 2015
Registered rectification deed is a way.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 16 June 2015
I agree with experts advise, a registered rectification deed is required.
Anirudh (Expert) 16 June 2015
No need for any change. This will only create unnecessary trouble.
The name is only to identify you. Before marriage, I am sure, your identify will be established by your name, coupled with the name of your father (as it would have been shown as daughter of...). Therefore, there is no need for any rectification deed.
I always wonder, why people want to create trouble for themselves by attempting such unwanted things.

thank you all for your valuable advise.
Please let me know how i can get rectification deed and how much it will cost.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 17 June 2015
If you have decided to get the rectification deed registered contact concerned Sub-Registrar Office.
However, consulting and seeking professional services of a local lawyer for further clarifications, advise and proceeding would be more appropriate.
Biswanath Roy (Expert) 19 June 2015
Deed of rectification is not required at all. Simply by taking oath before a first class judicial Magistrate you affirm an Affidavit that you executed a Registered Sale Deed in favour of ....(insert name....) son of.................on........
being its Book NO no.........Vol. No......
Pages........... in which you mentioned your maiden name............D/o............ and after your marriage your name has been changed as..............W/O................AND IN THE DECLARATION PORTION YOU WRITE HENCE THE NAME AS ".........." & PRESENT NAME....ARE THE SAME AND ONE PERSON. and publish this affidavit in two local news papers.
