What if one (over 18)start living separately from his/ parents. How important is Father's name to one who is living separately. Does it will effect his/her from getting a job or any other government benefits like pan card, aadhar card ,passport, ration card etc etc.

You don't want to be branded as an orphan or bastard. Parents or your father's name is important for social reasons. So to get Aaadhar Card, Pan Card etc you need your fathers name.To get a job also you need to mention your father or guardian 's name.There will be a separate column asking for you father's name. You mention your father's name.That's it.

No problem is there if his parent name recorded in different identity cards.

The biological father's/mother's name shall remain.

What, really, is the problem! Anyhow, there is no statutory requirement as to how a person's name should be. It could be in any form with or without father's or husband's name and/or with or without (caste) surname. However, once a person's name has been entered in a public record, the same needs to be maintained is all the subsequent records. Any alteration, thereafter is possible only through the due process; minor discrepencies could be explained through an affidavit.

You are borne and brought up by your father or not? What was your identity in society until you became 18? In school & college record , you can not vanish or delete your father's name. You may live separate or stay independent but you cannot end this blood relation of father and son as you wish.

Very vague question!
If father is not important to you, how his name can be of be any importance for you?
However, your personal experience in that regard is recommended to be gained by yourself. So, instead of asking, better try yourself, if you can get any identity, job, or other facilities of the Government or society.
