What is notary ??? What is benefit from the notarized documents? Is it compulsory to notarized all documents ? Pls guide me about notary......

Notary is an officer appointed by government who attests or certifies or registers deeds and other writings, or copies of them, usually under his official seal, to make them authentic.He is also empowered to administer oath for the purpose of affidavits. There is a Central Act called Notary Act of 1952. It is not compulsory to notarize all the documents. A notarized document is supposed to be authentic.

Mr. Palnitkar v v IS RIGHT BUT A NOTARY CAN NOT ATTEST THOSE DOCUMENTS WHICH REQUIRES REGISTRATION.
