Hi, A query in regards to the Claim against my grandfather as my father is deceased and grandfather being alive, do i deserve to claim any part of the ancestral property that is solely created and earned by him(grandpa). Just to mention that my father had 02 more brothers and 3 sisters as in my uncles and aunts...So, do i as a grandson, on behalf of my father deserve any right of claim on the ancestral property. Please suggest.Thanks.

If the properties you mentioned are of self acquired property of your grand father then unfortunately you by birth has not inherited any share.

Even your father when he was alive, could not have had any claim on the selfe earned properties of your grand father, when your grand father is alive.
Therefore, when your grand father is still alive, none of you can claim any share whatsoever from his self earned property.
The answer would be completely different, if the property in question is a Hindu Joint Family property.

As advised by the experts you can not claim any share in the self acquired property of your Grand father.
I would like to add something in that line that you can not claim any share in that self acquired property in the life time of your grand father but if your grand father dies intestate (without making any will) then you will be entitled to claim share in that property, you will get the equal share to your uncle and aunts.
