If you are Hindu then such relationship comes within prohibited relationship so marriage shall be on your risk.

Are You Unmarried, and both of you love each other that you cannot live without her??
Then go ahead,
Prohibited relationship marriage is void if there is no such custom or usage, so you have to prove ancient custom if any in Assamese.
If not , your marriage is void, thats all.
No one can stop you loving or living together or having children.
It is your choice, if you are in love and cannot live without each other.
I know wife went to London on Visa Obtained on such Marriages.
You can be in live in relationship.
if she accept, no one can stop you.
Usually nobody object once you perform , be father , and there are lakhs of such couple in India, there is no punishment.

mother's cousin brother's daughter!
If you are saying the daughter of your mothers'uncle's son, then since prohibition would be counted from grand father to down ward,it shall stand covered within prohibited degree.
HENCE YOU CAN LEGALLY NOT MARRY HER.

Mr. Tom,
Can I ask what actually made you not to expect the reply of Mr. Shroff in accordance with a view to the recent post of Shri Shah, when Shri Shah's post does not contain any specific reason behind his disagreement with Mr. Shroff's views?
Mr. Shah may be right, because he would be having some reason in his mind to disagree with the views of Mr. Shroff, but I don't find any specific reason in your post for not expecting views of Mr. Shroof.
Can you please like to provide necessary clarification?
