Notice period buyout letter/receipt

Dear Sir/Maam,
I would like to know, if I can make it legally an issue to raise, if I resign from an XYZ company and buy out my notice period, and if they are not ready to provide any proof that the notice period was bought out.
I resigned from the company a month ago, and I have received the expirience letter and the relieving letter now. but not any proof of buying out the notice period so that I can get it re·im·bursed from the new company I joined.

You have already got all the documents you need to join a new company. Do not insist on getting buy out notice.
There is no question of reimbursement from the new company either.

the new company had asked to get that option from the previous company, and the previous company insisted on not providing the documents, now that they have, only the receipt is pending, I mean they haven't provided with it...also, I need to show either the notice period butout receipt in the new cmp or salary slips from previous company, of which I dont have either....
What should I ask for from the previous company?
