Dear Sir/Mam
Once upon a time, my father was a christian and before my birth, he converted to Hindu. We all have community certificates as Hindu. As i said before,I belongs to SC(Hindu)Community and got married the girl who belongs to BC(Christian)community. we got married on 2005 and received central govt's scholarship for inter caste marriage also.we both are following each one's own faith.I never insist her to get converted as Hindu and she never asked me to follow her religion.
We have a kid of 4 yrs old.As per my wife's interest, we got caste certificate for my son with my wife's caste as BC(Christian).
Tamil nadu Govt's G.O. ( Ms ) No. 477, Social Welfare Department, dated 27-6-75 and From the Government of India ( Ministry of Welfare ) Lr.No. 12017/1/91 SCD-R Cell, dated 8 -4 -91 and 17-1-94 are also stating that we can choose anyone of inter caste marriage couple's caste to their kids.
Recently, few of my friends talked with me about priority in employment for the couple who did inter caste marriage. so i applied.but the Village Administrative Officer and Revenue inspector were not giving the priority certificate as my father's name is a christian name and suspect that i could be a christian.
I don't know what inter caste marriage exactly means? I am a Hindu and as per my all certificates,i am Hindu.i know...Govt gives priority for inter caste marriage couple in employment. and what is the role of religion here? is it truly so called inter caste marriage or something else as per Indian marriage law?
kindly let me clear about it.
Thanks a lot.

yours is a definitely inter-religious marriage.
now look into the entire notification issued by the TN govt and its interpretation too (if any by the HC or SC)
find out whether the offer is meant for Inter-Caste only or Inter-Religious as well.
