Whether Guardian and wards Act,1890 is applicable to insane unmarried lady aged 55 years? i am prefering The Mental Health Act,1987 for appointing a guardian to that incompetent lady .But my Boss is not accepting. Kindly let me know whether Guardian and Wards Act,1890 is applicable to her .If so, kindly let me know the provisions. Thank you...

NOT the Guardian and Wards Act,BUT IT IS The Mental Health Act,WHICH IS APPLICABLE.TELL YOUR BOSS THAT EVEN IN PAST NOT the Guardian and Wards Act BUT LUNACY ACT WAS APPLICABLE.
