Advocate Abda Ponda of Mumbai while arguing for the bail of IPL matches fixing accused Vindoo Dara Singh in Mumbai High Court a couple of days back had referred to a Supreme Court ruling that in a case which does not fetch life imprisonment, the accused should be granted bail. This sentence had been published by many newspapers but the citation had not been given in the news item. May I request the Honourable members for the reference of the citation in which the apex court had passed the above mentioned ruling. Needless to inform, that the accused persons have been granted bail in the above-mentioned case. Kindly inform.
