Notory on certificates.

Hello ,
I have received a job offer from a co. in saudi , as per procedure i have to get the certificates attested by HRD ministry, bangalore . Just wanted to know before going there should i get the certificates notorised?
Also what does notory mean ? who does this ? and what do they do on the certificate?

Notarising in your case is nothing but attesting the photocopies.
BUT ACCORDING TO THE REQUIREMENT, YOU SAY THAT YOU HAVE TO GET THE CERTIFICATES ATTESTED BY HRD MINISTRY BANGLORE.
Therefore, all that you have to do is (i) take the original certificates (ii) take the respective photocopies of the said certificates. Go to HRD Ministry, they will verify the photocopy with original and then then will Attest the same.
Nothing more is required.
