my wife and my in-laws have threatened me to go to court against me and my family. they are rich and influential people.
1. How many different kind of false allegation they can make both under family law and criminal law or any other kind of law.
2. What is the maximum punishment i and my family may get both in terms of money and jail.

Why are you getting so scared. The more you become, the more they would try to do so.
Be a man and face this with bold face.
All the cases looses it sheen once you get bail. If you get anticipatory bail, then nothing like this.
Do not cower under threat and get in touch with a good advocate.

Threatening as you stated comes under the purview of sec.503IPC WHICH SPEAKS ABOUT CRIMINAL THREAT VIZ, CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION AND ALERT. Lodge a complaint in the local Police Station and file an application u/s.503IPC in the Magistrates Court against your wife and sec.120B IPC against your FIL and MIL

If they proceed against you or your family, you have to face the situation willingly or unwillingly. Be bold and face the situation willingly. If you face boldly in planned way punishment in any case is doubtful.
Try to get anticipatory bail if FIR is lodged. Their Morales would come to bottom.
