I have come across several citation HC to provide FIR copy in the initial stages of investigation. Yet the IO for my case denied providing the same. Please guide how do I proceed further

Getting FIR is now a constitutional right of an accused which if denied then get such right enforced through law and legal machinery.
You can even get the certified copy from the trial/area magistrate by applying it as per rules.

File writ petition though the same would amount to firing canon against a mosquito.
Hence obtain a certified copy and go after it if there is any other major defects.
