Bar council of delhi membership

Hello,
My Bar Council of Delhi id card mentions that it expires on 31 August 2017. I am not working at present.
I would like to know the procedure to renew it and also how far in advance do we have to apply for the renewal? Can I submit the application form in August itself or do I have to submit it way before?

Just down load the PDF for Renewal of BCI membership from website or you could meet the BCI Officials of Delhi.

Not only your Delhi Bar Council ID card all the Bar Council ID Cards thro out in India would mention it has to be renewed after 5 years which even many of our Advocates even Senior Advocates would not have done it.Many of the State Bar Councils provides many facilities like Compensation to the Family on demise of Advocates etc which could be denied on the grounds of membership renewal not done with Bar Council.My humble request let all the Advocates take this matter seriously and ensure their renewal in their State Bar Council is done up to date.

In many States the Compensation on Demise is Rs.5 Lacs.

For this eligibility of Compensation for Life Time Amount around Rs.10000/- to be Paid for One Time Or amount around Rs.1000/- every year.State Bar Council would Issue an Certificate for this with the name of Nominee in that.Confirm and Please Implement it in your State Bar Council.
