In case we get some information under RTI then how can we ascertain that information provided by the information officer is correct and true?In case the information is false or untrue then what is the remedy and to whom we can approach?and is there is any penalty/punishment for giving false information?

if you are not satisfied with the information provided you can make first/second appeal.

you can also make a complaint.
