Losing Property

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 25 January 2011 This query is : Resolved
This is rejoinder to my earlier problem that I asked the experts. My father expired in November. My mother has applied for registration of a plot of land in favour of 3 of her daughters but in the name of one of her daughter as two of her daughters are married outside and the land cannot be registered in the name of Sikkimese daughters married to outsiders. There is nothing in my name. To add to my woes is a will favouring the daughters which may be opened after sometime. The said land is partly ancestral and partly acquired by my late father but curiously registered in the name for my mother. My mother worships her daughters and hates me for marrying a girl without her permission. The SDM (registrar) has threatened that she will go ahead with the registration unless I show some documentary proof that the plot is ancestral in nature. So far I have failed to find any documents in my support from the registration section. What should I do. The problem is compounded by the fact that my elder sister's husband is also a practicing lawyer at Gangtok courts who is behind all this trouble. I am preparing an objection which I shall submit to the registrar on Friday(28th).Apart from that I have an option to get an injunction from the courts when they open from vacation on 1st Feb but that too for another one month or so. After that what.
Is there no law that protects the son? What course of action should I take as I am alone and even the inexperienced advocates in Sikkim seem reluctant to suggest the best course action for me and they feel I have lost the property by way of stridhan or something (which is not)
If this becomes a reality then the sons can be thrown out of the house for no fault of theirs. I am a very decent person, never spoke a word against my parents nor did I argue with them in my 45 years of existance. If more matter is required I will post it. Reply required urgently.
Please Help.
