non compoundable. But the effect of compounding can take place if the concerned court permits the same. 2007 scc (cri) In that decision it was a case u/s 307 ipc but the matter was compromised between the parties , then sc opined that when the matter has been compromised between the parties and if the nature of injury is not so serious then the effect of compounding can take place.
