Absconding from employment

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 21 April 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hi. I wanted to know if the employer can make a public information (internal/external) about an employee who has left his job without being relived from his duties (i.e. without resigning or serving his notice period and without informing his senior for reasons not known to the employer)?
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 21 April 2011
Yes, the employer can do so, so long as it is a fact.

Thank you.

The employer has to send a notice to the employee if there is no reply or the notice returned unserved the employer can issue a public notice.
