you filed a case or petition, notice or summons issued to the respondent.. even the respondent not appear before the court on the said hearing date mean.. that day your case will decided as ex-parte.. that sane day or the next hearing the petitioner's counsil may take his evidence as petitioner side witness. that witness's evidence called as EX=PARTE EVIDENCE.

Just you have to file affidavit of your witnesses including the facts as it's content, in support of your plaint or petition.

It is nothing but like the regular affidavit-in - chief of the parties to the suit.

yes just file the prof affidavit and mark your side documents.. there wont be the cross examination.. because already its set exparte.. thats called as exparte evidence..
