Pension claim

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 June 2011 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir,
Father was worked in central Govt. (Railway employee) retired and expired in 2002 left his wife, 3 sons and 5 daughters. All sisters and brother are married and living separatly and presently mother is getting his pension and giving his one son only. My question legally the other sons and daughters can claim that pension to share all of them or mother can do whatever she want.

Thanks,
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 06 June 2011
Mother can do whatever that she wants to do with her pension.
In fact, it is quite surprising, that even though you sons and daughters are married, yet trying to grab some amount from your mother, instead of trying to give some money to her in her old age! (This comment is not based on any legal angle, but from moral angle!)
