flase dowry case

I am facing a false dowry case. MY FIL has said that they have given dowry during marriage.

As giving dowry is also a crime I want to file a case against them based on there confessions. But if a file a case, it will also show that I have taken dowry, which I have not

How to file a case and also defend my self (that I have not taken dowry).
Can a third person file a case in court?

if you can prove your version of fact that you have not taken dowry then file a case of 420 and defamation wheren they will screwed up easliy. but should have strong evidences showing that you have not taken dowry mere stating and actually in court to prove is a different concept so think twice.
