Encashment of privilege leave

i was working as an Prob. officer assistant manager in syndicate bank since feb 2010.now i have resigned from bank services on 11th aug 2011 after completing my 3 months notice period.at time of relieving i was having 13 privelege leaves in my credit.when i asked them to encash those leaves.dey said me i m not eligible for it.i want to ask you whether those leaves can be encashed or not?

All depends on service rule framed by that bank.

as per my the rules during my joining there was no such special clause..
however in practice what other banks do is that dey provide encashment of half of privilege leaves left in credit of the employee after his resignation.

If there was no specific condition in your appointment letter then you should go through policy of your employer as no employer can grant more than provided in its policy.
