This query is : Resolved
As mentioned in my last thread we are not satisfied with the cross exam (partly )done as english translation of testimony of palintiff made in hindi was done to the harm the plaintiff's case by opponent lawyer.
.Perhaps a re exam would help. From the beginning of the case I have been sharing facts and things with people here including experts. And we had chosen the lawyer from this forum after reading his contributions in this forum only.
Anyway everyone bears fruits of own actions.I strongly believe in law of karma,so leaving him aside... what can be done now?If there is something better one can help with to lead the case now,pls state you contacts..

Which City/ State you need lawyer in.
Lawyer has to meet certain requirements before you hire him.
1. Honesty
2. Ability to think on his feet
3. Prior experience in handling the kind of cases you want him to handle
4. His experience in the particular court
5. Your comfort level with him
Choosing a lawyer based on only reputation/ contribution is not a good way to choose a lawyer.

it is very bad you chosen a lawyer from this site and he is not cooperative with you so make a change. go to the local bar and ask for the other lawyers expert in the cases you have in your hand and get contact with him and defend your case.

It is better to raise subsequent questions in the same thread facilitating experts to reply accordingly. Either you tel the city wherein you need a lawyer or provide previous link of your query raised in this regard.

while I agree with Mr. Shonee Kapoor about what considerations one must have in mind while hiring lawyer.
But i fail to understand from the reasons stated by you how they lead to enable you to
impute about honesty of lawyer chosen by you either from this forum or from else where.
ONLY THIS MUCH CAN BE SAID HE IS A FAIL TO YOUR TEST AS CROSS DONE BY HIM IS POOR IN YOUR ASSESSMENT.
IF SO IS THE FACT THAT EVEN YOU CAN JUDGE
BETTER DO ON YOUR OWN,NO BAR IS THERE.

Dear Shonee,
Your advice is quite appropriate, BUT, the client does not have any tool to verify about any one of the criteria before hand, as mentioned by you until he practically experiences some problem with his lawyer.
In fact, the clients would need some specific yard sticks how to check about the honesty, sincerity, cooperation, professional conduct, experience, and analytical ability of the lawyer before she or any one else could engage a lawyer.
In fact, it is not a case with one single lawyer, but we can find such complaints from several hirers of services of lawyers.

I agree with Mr. Dhingra.Infact social alarm is the best way to do so.Why not people here share their experiences with lawyers they chose and the validity of their statements can be verified by going through their case files and decisions. It may be a better
way than moving in dark area of believing someone as per their cyber avtars.
