The flat i have purchsed in nearing completion. as per the sale agreement, the installments are equally divided into completion of each slab, exterior plastering, interior plastering, plumbing, electrical and other works. the builder sends demand notice on completion of every floor floor certified by the architect. now the last three slabs have been completed and the same was certified by the architect for payment. the builder has now intimated me that the work of all the slabs and exterior and interior plaster have been completed and to make payment for all the work completed. however, the architect has certified completion of all the slabs but not certified completion of exterior or interior plaster. Could you please advise me whether i am liable to pay for the work not certified by the architect?

You should verify your question from terms of agreement especially 'when the work shall be treated as completed viz. when certification made or when actual work done'.

Sale Consideration Payment Schedule clause will be there in every agreement for Sale of Flat ! The Payment/s should be as stipulated in payment schedule - whether it is before completion of the Work/s- or- after completion of the Work/s !
