Medical exaamintion prior to joining duty

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 22 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
I am health professional and worked at AIIMS, New Delhi and accepted an offer of one of Delhi Govt Hospital where I was medical examined by their Board. The chest X ray findings shows the feature of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension( P.A.H.) with no clinical signs there and my case was referred to Superspecaility Hospital of Delhi Govt
I was medical examined by AIIMS board at the time of Joining in 1998 where the same features of P.A.H has been ruled out in the chest X ray and case was referred to Cardiology Deptt. where i have been undergone ECG and Echocardiography test. The ECG test shows normal findings and Echocardiography shows Normal Study and was declared medical Fit..
My concern is that in AIIMS too I have been misdiagnosed many times by Junior Doctors till very senior doctor made me medically fit by labelling it as " STRAIGHT BACK SYNDROME". I am now afraid of will facing the same problem may be by their misdaignosis..If they wrongly suggest that surgery may be required and may be unfit..Whether I can challenge the same on the basis of AIIMS report before Court of Law..? Which Court I should approrach CAT or High Court..??Please advice

Dear Author,

Medical examination and report pertaining to a period prior to 13 years cannot work today and you may not gain anything out of your CAT or HC case. Better get some prior diagnosis from at least two different, but reputed, clinical labs or Government hospitals before you are put to medical examination again. If the report of both the labs is OK, you may get assured to be ready to fight your case. However, if two reports differ, take shelter of the 3rd lab also. If that is similar to any one of the previous two reports, you can rely on those reports.

So, be prepared fully before you try to challenge the medical authorities.

Sir, I do agree that 13 years old report cannot be work today But 'Syndrome' are defects which are present right from birth and carried away through out the life.In my case syndrome is there which don't affect the normal function which gives false impression in scan of having heart disease..AIIMS doctors too had misinterpreted it many times till one of the senior specialist had ruled out the correct thing
My fear is that Delhi Govt base hospitals may not have the same infrastructure/Skilled professionals on the par with the AIIMS and may give reverse opinion may even leading to unfitness of job..In that case what will be the remedy as opinion of the Pvt hospital has no validity
