Why not? Your family has got prepared you for the day to face such eventuality. There is no bar to defend the case of the family or family members of self case being an advocate.
an advocate can deal a litigation for his family.,
but a judge only can not contest any case which is involved by his or her family members.,

Dear Mr.Deepak! M/S Shankar n Shah have rightly conveyed you about my expression."you can" is simply body but"you should not"is its'soul. An advocate is expected to do cases without any personal or emotional involvement from which he can not keep away while conducting his own personal or family cases, and in due process his conduction may result causing more harm than good to his case as well as to his reputation also. When any senior lawyer can come forward to look after his cause free why should he choose to conduct his case personally to expose him self to several type of emotional exposures.Hence I advised him "you should not"as I do not think we opted to become advocate for contesting our personal cases in courts. We should endeavour our best not to have any personallitigation in courts during our lifespan and in case it becomes inevitable we should deny to choose to conduct it personally.

There is no problem in making appearance on behalf of any person if your appearance does not create any conflict of interest.
