Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 02 April 2012
Coparcenary and ancestral property are two words used to describe similar situation whereas joint family property is not necessarily an ancestral property. It may be both ancestral as well as self acquired.
SAINATH DEVALLA (Expert) 02 April 2012
Dear Samuel,

Ancesteral inheritence and coparcenary are one and the same.

In both of them the meaning is two or a group of legal successors inherit a property of their ancestors.
