Bought assigned land unknowingly

Dear Sir,

I bought 400 SYd's plot in year 2002 without knowing the fact that the plot is in the assigned land. I bought the land from real estate company which was in gated community.

Now I seek you advice on this land, whether I can retain or can I sell this land to anyone telling him the fact.
Please advice me.

A buyer cannot be given better rights then the seller. The problem which are facing shall remain same even if you sell that plot.

Anyway, you can feel relief if you get it sold out in the hands of some other person.

Others may not buy if they know that the land is an assigned land. If some one is prepared to buy it on "as is where is basis" and without recourse, then u may escape from the liabilities or obligations that go with the land.
