I am Devinder living in Punjab.
I have been issued flat in parkwood glade mohali and took loan from IDBI bank in my name. At the time of booking I have mentioned only my name in application form.
Now I want to go for sale deed. Can I register the sale deed in my wife`s name.
Please advise.
Suppose as per above facts if sale deed is not possible in my wifes`s name. Can I later gift her the flat. If yes what will be the statutory charges for the same.

Ans. Not Possible since you are the sole applicant in the bank loan.
Suppose as per above facts if sale deed is not possible in my wifes`s name. Can I later gift her the flat.
Ans. Yes, subject to clearance of bank loan/ permission from the bank.
If yes what will be the statutory charges for the same.
Ans. Stamp duty and registration charges vary from state to state. Contact the local registry at Mohali for the prevailing rates.
