Hello experts,
I've a plot in Noida. I got this in a draw before marriage. My wife stayed with me for 3 months only. Now I am afraid after amendment in HMA my wife can claim share in this plot. I've put my all my hard earned money in this plot. It has not been registered with my name yet. My wife has filed PWDVA against me and its running for 2 years.
Now please help me, how can I save my entire career's saving. This is all I've got.
Regards

Dear Querist
you can transfer the property in your mother's name.

Since the law has not been passed yet, it's all speculation to comment what shape it would take but still by way of abundant caution, Gift the property to your mother by a registered gift deed.

Nobody knows as of yet how the situation would unfold post amendment. It is, therefore, better to be on a safe side. Transfer the plot to your mother through a registered gift deed.

Nothing shall take place retrospectively even if the legislation may see day of light. Donot worry. Even then, you may transfer

We do not know what will be legislated finally. It will definitely be a prudent decision to transfer the title to your mother by a Deed of Gift duly registering the same.
