Respected Sir, It was very clear from two years that RTI is loosing its integrity due to the government's as well as CIC Office. I have apply about 1oo apllication till now.In mostly cases either informations provided were incomplete/wrong or not provided and mostly were not in certified copies.Interestingly CPIO and FAA both belongs same department and same section. So they have a nexus to kill the RTI. I am attaching a PDF file mentioning the comments of a retiring senior officer of CIC Office. Please advice who and how we the people of India fight against corruption. With regards

I have got a bitter experience.
The PIO and the First appellate authority are having office in the adjacent rooms in the same office. When an information was sought with the PIO, he simply states that the information could verywell be delayed for the next 90 days, since he himself has got 30 days and the the First appellate authority can delay it for another 60 days if appeal is submitted.Who is going to cure this? The information is a one worded reply which could be furnished effortlessly within minutes. No doubt, something should be done to overcome this handicapp.

Govt offices are fighting shy to furnish the true information in reply to the applications made to it. But the positive side is the Act is working well so far as the other public bodies are concerned such as RBI, NABARD etc.
