I have a property case going on in Ranchi, Jharkhand. I have decided to appear in person and argue my case myself without any lawyer.
1. As I understand Order3 rule 1 of the CPC allows this, is there any bar or obstruction in doing so?
2. Why is the Sub judge insisting that I should engage a lawyer?
3. The judge is refusing to hear me or allow me to file petituons or even inspect the records - ordersheets etc? What can I do? Who should I report this to and what is the exact procedure laid down?
4. Can I do anything to prevent him from passing an order without hearing me? How can I ensure that he does not do so till my complaint as stated above is disposed off?
Please help as I find the lawyers here most uninformed and in fact misleading!

judge is advising you to engage a lawyer as you may not be aware of legal intricacies .
however if you insist judge is bound to permit you to argue your case , take inspection of records . you can lodge complaint against said judge if he refuses to permit you to appear in your case
you can furnish written arguments in your case .
