During defendant's evidences, respondent opted for verification of cheque for correction in date from a government agency and it was allowed by the court. The cheque was examined by scientific forensic laboratory, Ministry of Home Affairs, Calcutta. It issued a clean report stating that there is no correction in dates. After that, respondent applied for verification of cheque from a particular private handwriting expert Mr X. Is it legally allowable.
