Lawyer accountability

If the same lawyer is representing a client in 2 lawsuits, and makes contradictory statements in them with serious allegations, isn't the lawyer also accountable? Can any action be initiated?

no action can be initiated against lawyer.

Pleadings are attributed to parties and not to lawyers.
