Articals stolen from bank locker, who is reponsible

(Querist) 15 November 2012 This query is : Resolved
dear sir / madam,

i am working as an advocate in sessions court of yamuna nagar, haryana
yesterday we came to know thru bank that there was a theft in bank and mine as well as lockers of 4 other customers were broken when bank was closed due to diwali holidays.

as per terms and conditions of bank tht. they treat their customers as tenants and bank is not liable for any loss whatsoever to their property kept in the bank lockers.

after long persual with bank employees and local police we showed deficiency in security measures from bank end i.e. absence of CCTV, gaurds, exhaust fan in strong room, absence of alarms etc. finally bank agreed to give us writing tht they were lacking security measures as reqd.

i just wanted to know tht from where we will get this recovery and how can we give proofs of valubles inherited thru generations.

with regards,

Go to the consumer forum. You should be compensated for the loss.
