hello sir,
i have bought a catch masala amchur powder. at home i found there was no seal n dueto this there were so many worms n insects inside the pack.i informed to the company n they simply sent a salesman with the new pack n asked to return the defective sample to that man.i refused to hand it over as i wanted to bring this in the knowledge of senior officials so thattheycould come to know about the loopholes in their quality conrol unit.but aftermy 3-4 mails the company even doesn't care to respond or apologied for their ignorance.as aconsumer iwant to know what is my right in this case i have sample nall my mails thatproves that i contact first to thecompany but they didn't respond .can i entitle for any claim from the company? please advice me.

Yes. First file complaint with the Consumer Mediation Cell. If it fails then file case .
You may bear in mind that the case before the consumer forum involves costs unless you yourself represent the case.

thank you devajyoti! but ithing more should i call again to the company naskfor out of court settlement or is ther any surity towinthe case in court n how much compensationcanbe asked forthat?

It is better to approach with packet before your local food inspector with written complaint. This will be the instant remedy.

You are a consumer and such lapses on he part of company may prove harsh to its officials. You can not only approach to the Food inspector, CMO but also to consumer fora in this regard.

even i wanted to let the company's senoirs about the loophole in their quality control dept.but they didn't respond i decided to bring them in consumer forum.only 1thing ispinching me i have tospendlotof for the process.isitwise decision to spend so much money for afewrupees pack,ihave sample but if i winhow much i canget in compensation.moneywas not the matter earlier but now when i sue them then definitily it'll be a matter for concern.
