Dear Sir
A notice was served by Inspector Legal Metrology for contravention of LM Rules wherein he has seized sample if retail pact without MRP Printed on it. But in the notice the batch No. and Mfg date does not match with the actual product manufactured as per records of Manufacturer,
The concerned official says that we have to compound the offence or else face trail in court.
Plz clarify if we can get Benefit of doubt for improper batch no. & Mfg date in related notice issued by officer.
Further there is also chance that any unknown person in open market might have removed the MRP and the manufacturer should not be held liale for the same.
Plz suggest appropriate recourse.

If the manufacturer can for sure prove that article seized is not his manufacturing but a fake one, then he should contest and face the trial.
