Sir,
I belong to hindu religion SC (Balmiki)catste by birth. My husband is also belong to Hindu religion SC (Balmiki) caste.In the young age to go to church. Now i file papers for contest election under reserve seat. Somebody complaint that I am a Christian and i cannt contest on reserved seat. I am Hindu by birth, my husband is hindu by birth under reserved caste. Merely going to church withdraw my caste. Please help me to resolve my issue.

Without the legal conversion mere on going to church and attending the christan cremony you can't be barred from contesting election. So file a writ petition.

you cant be denied right to ocntest elections as you have not converted to christanity . the complaint has to be upheld by the returning officer and your application rejected . since it has not been rejected you cna contest elections

You declare yourself Hindu and get the benefit as desired. There is no legal hurdle in that event.

BUT ONE CAN NOT CHANGE ONE'S CAST.
CAST REMAINS SAME.
