hello..i want to know how long and what are the procedures involved to withdraw the case in a contested divorce?
after withdrawing the divorce how long can does it take to file a fresh divorce?

file a withdraw application and the same day this case will be withdraw, fresh filing the case depend on the court order and limitation.

hello..thank you for ur reply,,my lawyer said it takes 6 months to withdraw ! is it true? since am going thru a contested divorce is it necessary for the other party to sign the papers too?

It takes hardly 5 minutes to withdraw the contested divorce petition and it further takes a day to file afresh petition.

If you had filed the petition, you need to sign to withdraw it. No notice is even required for the opposite party for this purpose.

hello i would like to state that my husband and six other people are owners of a cooperative flat system. and in case of my ex husband he has owned the property in both mine and his name..but i found out that one of the main documents has my signature forged..can i go ahead and file a new case against him after 2 years of contested divorce??
in thsi case will be taken to prison? and will it benefit me and my case? or would it be better if i close of this long pending issue and file a fresh new case?

file criminal complaint of forgery , cheating aginst your husband if he has forged your signature

You need not file a fresh case, If your forged signature is filed in the divorce suit then you can initiate criminal action in the same suit itself.

The matter you told has no direct connection with your ongoing divorce petition. You have a separate cause of action to initiate civil as well as criminal action against your husband as well as all other persons involved in forging and taking benefit of your forged signature.
