Pay fixation

(Querist) 08 June 2013 This query is : Resolved 
Mr. X was serving Govt. employee under Govt. of NCT and drawing pay Rs. 13650+4200 in PB-2 with Gp 4200 as on 31/12/2008. He applied through proper channel to UPSC and got appointment under same Govt. of NCT as 'Direct Appointee' to the Post carrying GP Rs4600 in PB-2. on 01/01/2009. How Mr. X pay will be Fixed?

his pay will be fixed as if he has been promoted.

His pay shall be fixed as per calculation chart in GP Rs. 4600/-.
