Reagarding passport

Dear experts,
I spoorthy B wanted to apply for passport but i have the original birth certificate which was given in the school record.the problem is my school record birth date and my original date of birth differs.so could you please suggest me what should i do now?

Instructions of passport office regarding date of birth is as under:
Date of birth certificate from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution; or an Affidavit sworn before a Magistrate/Notary stating date/place of birth as per the specimen in ANNEXURE ‘A’ by illiterate or semi-illiterate applicants.
N.B.: In the case of applicants born on or after 26.01.89, only Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or the Office of the Registrar of Births & Deaths is acceptable.

Dear expert sudhir sir,
I spoorthy was born on 5th of august 1993,but due to the mistake when i was joining to school, my date of birth has been changed to 25th of may 1993.The above mentioned is the reason.
