vehicle insurance

Hi
Recently I purchased a second hand car.. have got all the necessary formalities to get it transferred in my name.. but have not got the car insurance transferred in my name.. The RC book is in my name.. In case of an accident claim can the insurance company reject my claim amount because it is not transferred in my name ..?

You need to get the insurance cover note transferred in your name otherwise you shall be unable to get any claim at the time of need.

though you the present owner of the vehicle, in case of an accident neither you nor the previous owner can claim insurance compensation amount because the Insurance policy has not been change on to your name so far, hence it is advisable that you arrange to transfer the Insurance policy on your name immediately.
