This query is : Resolved
Hello Sir / Madam,
Am writing to know and get an opinion about a project, basically outsourcing their customer service to India, which is being expected to get outsourced to one of my friend. This project is sent from one of a international company. It appears that the product / service that the international company is offering to its customers is legal there in their country, however offering the same is illegal in India. However we are not doing the actual business as they do to their customers but supporting the questions from their customers. Will it affect in any way.. Looking forward to hear back and a valuable advise.

Depends upon nature of work and value of transaction through outsourcing, which you have not mentioned even to a little extent.

Thanks a lot for your comments and suggestions.
The main nature of job outsourced is customer service, offering assistance to users of the client through email and chats.
The main nature of clients business is offering buying and selling platform for trading crypto currencies.
So if any customer has any queries pertaining to trade crypto currencies will need to addressed via email from India.
There is no contract or any document registered for offering the service to the international client.
Hope this helps and will it be safe to carry out the outsourcing work to the company and its customers.
Kindly advise.

You still has missed the point of value of the transaction that may need permission of the RBI depending upon the value of transaction in foreign currency.
However, until the job is not awarded through some reliable freelance site and escrow account is opened for deposit of money by the outsourcer company, any direct contract without any agreement is not advisable with the reason that you are likely to come again to this forum with the problem that the outsourcer is not responding to your request for payment for your services.

I endorse the views of Mr. Dingra on the subject issue. Yes, without any valid agreement over the terms and conditions for the contract, you will not have a legal base to claim or recover money for the services offered by you.

If the object of the service provided, is illegal in India, even though the other country says the same act legal, the same can not be executed here.
