Dear sir,

The original agreement that I am relying upon in a civil court wherein I am plaintiff. is misplaced. I hav only one witness to prove my agreement. Pls guide me as to what I can do to prove my case.

You have to file photocopy then and get it admissible like a secondary evidence.

Thanks sir.

But won't the defendant obstruct. And in what manner.
ajay sethi (Expert) 02 April 2014
if your original is lost have you filed FIR ?obtain certied copy of your agreemet from sub registrar office .
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 02 April 2014
if it was registered, can obtain certified copy. Otherwise there is no other alternate left, have to prove through secondary evidences.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 02 April 2014
advised well by the experts above, i.e., though you have lost the original agreement, with the help of FIR, you can always obtain a certified copy (in case the agreement was registered)or plead before the court the fact and request the court to admit the evidence as a secondary evidence.
