Do i can able to file case against my father ? i m 24 year old working girl, i wanted to get in PhD but because of him i couldn't went further. he abuse, beat and Mentally Harass me always not as protective father but he always wanted to be rule like dictator. i want i can get legal protection n file case against him or legally i want to refuse him as my dad i will stay alone.

Why your father act such exterime level. If really need to get relief then find other source of talk. If could not then file a complaint and warn him by police

Take help of your mom and other relatives for amicable solution.
If you have been shortlisted for Phd, you would get stipend.
Also find out the reason of such behavior from him, probably he may be feeling socially unsecured, a diplomatic attitude would be effective.

No father do sch things unless there is something which may be kept hidden from you.
Against physical torture you can file cases against him but before doing this do consult with your mother and other relatives.

legally you cant deny him as your dad but can stay alone.
