Is "having very simple signature" i.e. "just writing first name in english normally" dangerous?

(Querist) 24 May 2014 This query is : Resolved
Respected Experts,

Kindly clarify these questions.

First Question:
Is "Having very simple signature" i.e. "Just writing first name in english normally" dangerous when registering a property in sub-registrar office? Can it make any signature frogery? Though we register our thumb impressions and snapshot photo in property registration then too "Is stylish/complex signature necessary in land registration"

Second Question:
Can we introduce a new {more stylish/complex} signature for a new property registration in sub-registrar office whereas at all other places like "Banks, Pan Card, Passport etc. we use very simple signature (just first name written normally, means it can be copy easily).

Is it very risky to have very simple signature (just writing first name in Title case in english)?

If dangerous, how to change these simple signatures into a more stylish/complex signatures? What is the process? How to change old signatures to new more complex signatures in property document?

Kindly clarify these issues with many of us.

Many Thanks and Regards
M Malik

Please put the signture in whichever way that you want (writing name in the ordinary manner etc.).
There is no requirement that the signature should be complex or in a complicated manner.

Whether it is simple or complex, the same has to be affixed by the person concerned.

Please note that if anything has to be forged - whether simple or complex signature - there are number of persons who are capable of forging.

But, please be sure, while one may not be able to say from naked eye whether any signature is forged or not, forensic / writing experts will definitely be able to decipher.

I do endorse the advice of Anirudh though your query is not having any legal issue.

howsoever difficult your signature may appear. A professional forger can copy it. It may be difficult for you not for him.
