Rights after the demise of a person

This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir/Madam,
Does the spouse (read wife) automatically get rights on the property etc. belonging to a person (read husband) after his demise if there is no will?
For me this is the most logical even if the man has children. Children should have the rights only when none of the parents are alive.
I am taking about the simple (simplest) case where the man and woman married only once and the children are their children. No second marriages, no step-children, ...
This is mainly for understanding purposes.
Thanks in advance.

Look at the following at the bottom of the site:
"Let us grow stronger by mutual exchange of Knowledge".
If someone doesn't want to contribute or doesn't have sufficient knowledge then the person should not comment at all; better than writing unnecessary material.

Your comments are not in line with the theme and spirit of this website.
Please keep your personal and arrogant (unnecessary) opinion to yourself and let the website run according to its beautiful theme which is as below.
"Let us grow stronger by mutual exchange of Knowledge".
Those having provocative views, as in the post above, are basically against the theme and spirit of the website. What are they doing on this website then?
Moreover, those who don't believe in sharing knowledge or discussing on topics can stay away from this post.
I invite helpful and willing experts to share their knowledge on my query.
Thanks in advance to those who want to contribute.

Mr."P" - post your queries for enhancement of knowledge in legal forum, but not on this experts portal and try to give respect to experts who are helping the society instead of engaging yourself in altercations. If you wish to enhance your knowledge there are so many articles, sharing files, legal forum open for discussion to anybody. Use those things and mend your language.

Thanks Mr V R SHROFF for your kind, sensible, to the point and helpful suggestion.
I will post the query in the FORUM now.
Yours was the only sensible reply.
With all due respect, its a pity that most of the so called experts show no respect towards the querists and/or towards the theme and spirit of this website.
Well, I feel that the knowledge (of so called experts) together with humbleness will be great for the society but knowledge (which I am yet to see from the so called experts because my query isn't even answered) with arrogance is waste for the society. Latter is the case here.
I respect the theme and spirit, which is copied below, of the website but I feel that not everyone does the same unfortunately.
