Dear Expert,
I am a married man with only daughter, resident of Kolkata. One of my tenants and his wife is spreading a false rumour to my other tenants as well as in the locality that I stalk their unmarried daughter on her way to her office. First of all, I would like to know, what could be they up to ? Secondly, how can I safeguard myself from such false rumours? ( as Indian law is very much in favour of women and in many cases it is being misused )
Regards,
Sabir Ahmed

Staking is non bailable offence.
In WB the tenants often in desperation to protect their tenancy implicate their landlords in false cases.
Even landlords also do the same to get back the property.
This is quite common place evidence.
I would advise you to immediately file a suit for eviction against her said tenant so you get bail easily in the event they file such case.

Thanks for your reply, Sir. But on what grounds, can I file an eviction suit, as they pay rent on time; does not do anything, which appears to be a nusiance to others.
Kindly advise.

Sabir
