Marriage certificate used in re-issue of passport after divorce

Dear Sir/madam,
If after divorce , marriage certificate is used to add the name of the spouse in re-issue of passport , will it be scrutinized that the marriage is dissolved.
please answer , it is very important.

once divorce is granted said information must be brought to notice of passport office for reissue of passport
you must apply for deletion of spouse’s name in existing passport must furnish the following: (a) Certified copy of Divorce decree. (b) Deed poll/sworn affidavit (ANNEXURE ‘E’)
you cant use marriage certificate for reissue of passport as divorce has been granted

actually i am asking this query on behalf of my colleague.. they got married and after two years they got divorced with mutual consent but soon realized that the step they took of divorce was incorrect and hence they have been staying together ...now her husband has got an job opportunity abroad.
and thats why they want to use the marriage certificate to add the spouse name in re-issue of passport and go abroad .

What do you mean by ' incorrect' divorce?

If once divorce has been granted, they should marry again and get the marriage registered again.

Submit reply of expert's questions for proper opinion/advise.
The couple can stay togather as husband and wife and get remarried under the same faith i.e., Hindu, Muslim, christian, Parsi marriage law.

The passport validity is due to expire .
I have conveyed the advise and suggestions given by the experts to my colleague and wish follows the most legal controlled way to resolve this matter .

If they are divorced and the passport that is likely to expire by validity was not containing the spouse name till date, no need to apply for such inclusion.
